The Head Pastor of the Calvary Charismatic Centre (CCC), Rev. Ransford Obeng has ruled out possible electoral violence as Ghana prepares to hold another crucial election to elect a president and Members of Parliament (MPs) come December 7, 2020.
“In the Name of Jesus, this election will be the most peaceful election in the history Ghana”, the respected international preacher told hundreds of Christians believers who thronged the CCC branch in Ayigya Kumasi for a prayer service recently MyNewsGh.com covered.
Tension is currently blowing between the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) over calls by the Electoral Commission (EC) to make a new voters’ register as many political watchers are predicting worse things for Ghana if the issues are not handled properly.
However, Rev. Ransford Obeng who is always loud on issues in Ghana thinks Ghanaians will go to the polls and come out more united than ever despite the evil intent of some politicians to destabilize the country.
“Bless our President, Cabinet Ministers, bless our Assemblymen, bless the MPs…I decree and declare. Protect us from people with evil intentions and diabolical ideas”, Rev. Ransford Obeng played ahead of coming polls.
Pastor Ransford Obeng also took on clergymen who openly declare their partisan allegiance describing such acts are unwise and divisive to the church and its congregants.
“It is not a wise decision for any church leader, to declare publicly his support for any political party,” he pointed out.
In a church, we have different groups of people. There is no church that has one party in it. Churches are supposed to bring people from different backgrounds and different views together under the Lord Jesus Christ,” he stressed.
