So far, one hundred and forty-five eligible voters have cast their ballots at Agona D/A primary school in the Ahanta West Constituency of the Western Region.

The total number of voters expected to cast their ballots is 650.

Speaking to the presiding officer at the station at 11:45 am, Madam Princess Frimpong commended the voters for peacefully conducting themselves.

"So far, so good, we haven't encountered any challenge, the voters have been comporting themselves very well, so as for here, there is no confusion here, and we pray that this will continue till the end," she stated.

She is, therefore, encouraging other voters to come out in their numbers to vote.

At R/C JHS Agona polling station, 511 registered voters are expected to vote, and as of 11:49 am, 98 have voted.

Mr. Charles Cobbinah said the process has been smooth.

He disclosed that the electoral materials arrived after 7:00 am, and the voting started at 7:45 am.

He expressed dissatisfaction with the turnout.

"We are expecting 511 people to vote today, but as of now, only 98 people have cast their ballots, which is not good," he worried.

He appealed to the voters to come out in their numbers to vote.

Our Western Regional Correspondent also visited Dixcove Taxi Station and observed a peaceful atmosphere.

At this polling station, 529 voters are expected to vote, and as of 12:5noon, 121 voters have voted.

Moreover, the Agona Nkwanta community, the capital town of Ahanta West Constituency, has 27 polling stations.

Ahanta West constituency as a whole has 181 polling stations with 86,062 voters.

Ahanta West constituency is one of the swing constituencies in Western region.

Due to illness, the incumbent MP, Lawyer Ebenezer Kojo Kum, is not contesting in this year's election.

The battle is now between Eric Pobee of NPP and Mavis Kukua Bissue Boateng of NDC.
