The Christian clergy in the Ashanti Region has committed Hon. Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, also known as NAPO, the 2024 Vice Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), into the hands of Almighty God ahead of the general elections.

They also prayed for the NPP and the party's flagbearer, H.E Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to emerge victorious in the elections on December 7.

Dr. Prempeh held a special engagement with more than 200 Christian leaders from all 47 constituencies of the Ashanti Region on Friday, November 29, 2024, in Kumasi.

The engagement focused on nation-building, peace in the country before the elections, and other matters important to the Christian faith.

Dr. Prempeh took the opportunity to emphasise Dr. Bawumia's strong commitment to enhancing collaboration between his government and religious leaders in governing the country once he is elected as President on December 7, with God's grace.

Apostle Sampson Adjei Berko of the Glory & Hope Ministries International, Jordan-Kotwi, led the clergy in intercessory prayers for Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, committing him into God's hands for blessings, favour, and guidance throughout the election period.

They also prayed for peace and stability in the country before, during, and after the 2024 general elections.
