Ga Mantse, His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, has advised traders and the general public not to be duped into indulging in acts of violence during this election year.
He has also cautioned them to refrain from engaging in acts that would constitute electoral malfeasance. The traditional leader believes that national progress is based on the virtues of peace and harmony, not bloodshed.
He made the statements while visiting the Makola and surrounding markets in Accra’s Central Business District (CBD) as part of the Homowo cleanup exercise.
“There’s health in cleanliness. Let’s unite as one people. I want to seize the opportunity to also encourage you all to go to the polls in peace. Don’t be lured or allow your children to be manipulated by any influence to create violence,” he said.
