The founder and leader of the Heaven’s Gate Ministry, Prophet Nicholas Osei popularly known as Prophet Kumchacha has lashed out at Ghanaian English speaking pastors arguing that they are more corrupt than their counterparts who speak in the local parlance ‘Twi’ during preaching.

The controversial prophet described English speaking pastors as criminals who hide behind their intellects to deceive people to enrich themselves.

According to him, though these English speaking pastors do not sell water and anointing oil to their members, they capitalise on their education to write books to extort monies from their congregations.

To him, the English speaking pastors cunningly deceive their congregations and other people through books authored by them which are outrageously sold at high prices.

Twi speaking pastors have on several occasions been accused of extorting monies from their congregations through the sale of anointing oil, water, salt, handkerchief among others.

But Prophet Kumchacha indicated that these English speaking pastors dupe their congregations and other followers through the sale of their books which are more expensive than the water and anointing oil some Twi speaking pastors sell to their members during preaching and counselling.

The founder and leader of the Heaven’s Gate Ministry said some of the books authored by English speaking pastors are sold between 50,000 -100,000 dollars during launching whiles the ones sent to book shops are sold between GHC1,000-GHC2,000.

In an interview with Kasapa FM monitored by MyNewsGh.com, he claimed, ‘I’m telling you English speaking pastors are criminals, armed robbers, notorious than Twi speaking pastors, they don’t sell water or oil to their congregations but they write books, I have been to five books launching , just one book was sold for 100,000 dollars, it was reduced to 50,000 dollars, hundred thousand dollars is getting to 4-5 billion old Ghana cedis and fifty thousand dollars is also getting to 3 billion old cedis, after that they will reduce it further to 5,000 dollars, After selling, they send the rest of the books to the bookshops, sold at GHC1,000, and GHC2,000. Though these pastors don’t sell water or oil because they are educated and corrupt, they sell books, calendar and t-shirts to their members’.

Prophet Kumchacha who speaks Twi during preaching said both English speaking pastors and Twi speaking pastors are all the same and that the former cannot be proud to say they are genuine and point accusing fingers at the latter when fake pastors’ names are mentioned.

‘English speaking pastors and Twi speaking pastors are all the same, they are not better than we the Twi speaking pastors,’ he fumed.
