The NDC parliamentary candidate for the Kwabre East Constituency in the Ashanti Region, Joseph Amankwah Nurudeen, has called for a total overhaul in the political leadership of the constituency.

Mr. Amankwah said it was very worrying that the constituency keeps suffering in terms of development due to the incompetent behavior of the ruling NPP party, which boasts the constituency as its stronghold.

"Totally, there has been a development wipeout under the Nana Addo-Bawumia administration in the constituency. It is very sad," he said.

According to him, the NPP has failed the Kwabre East woefully and that it was time to show them the exit for a competent person like him and the NDC to take over the mantle.

He revealed that the development of the area is heading in the wrong direction, adding that the election, which was supposed to bring us development and positive changes, is rather witnessing otherwise under the NPP administration.

He said, “Kwabre East has not enjoyed any project from the central government in the past eight years, be it one million dollars per constituency or the factories that are being built; nothing at all has been received.

He further blamed the constituency's lack of development on the current MP, Francisca Oteng Mensah, and the previous NPP MPs within the constituency for their inability to lobby for anything for the constituency.

“There is nothing to point fingers to in this election, absolutely nothing; people are crying for jobs, roads, markets, water, electricity, clinics, and schools, among other socio-economic development to better their lives,” he stated.

“We need someone who has the constituency at heart and is ready to advocate for its developmental agenda. We need a patriotic missionary to rescue our area from this hardship who can create employment, and that is what I stand for. I am that patriotic missionary who is ever ready to go to all lengths to see our constituency benefit from the national cake. A vote for Joseph Amankwah is a vote for development,” he added.
