Enyan Denkyira Senior Secondary School marks Prize Giving Day

Enyan Denkyira (C/R) Nov.29, GNA-Mr Isaac Edumadze, Central Regional Minister, has asked the electorate to vote massively for the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) to ensure rapid socio-economic transformation of the country.

The Minister who said this in an address read on his behalf, at the second Speech and Prize Giving Day of the Enyan Denkyira Secondary Technical School, said the Phase two of "Positive Change" holds very good promise for Ghana.

The Day was on the theme: "Quality Education The Key to National Development".

Mr Edumadze appealed to the students to take their lessons seriously to grow up to become useful citizens. He asked parents to invest in the education of their children, Stressing: "Parents in particular should reduce the huge expenses they make on funerals and other social celebrations in support of their children in school".

Mr Michael Nsowah, acting Director General of Ghana Education Service, said in a speech read on his behalf that quality education could only be achieved through the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders.

"We cannot talk of quality education without mentioning the need for quality parenthood."

Mr Alex Amponfi-Duku, Headmaster, said the School obtained 79 per cent in the 2004 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination, with one student recording aggregate 10. Prizes and certificates were presented to deserving students.
