Enyan Maim (C/R), Aug. 4, GNA - The Enyan Maim Citizens Association of the United Kingdom, on Saturday presented two computers, a printer and books to the Enyan Main Community Library in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District to promote Information Communication and Technology in the area.
Ms Philomena Poku, a member of Association, who presented the items, said the donation formed part of their social responsibility to contribute towards the development of education in the area. She said ICT had become an integral part of education in the world and that it would require the support of all to assist the youth to become competitive at the international level. Ms Poku advised parents not to shirk their responsibilities towards educating their children.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam, Mr John Arthur-Baiden, urged also parents to invest in their children's education for the future. Nana Okofo Amoako Bondam II, Omanhene of Enyan Maim Traditional Area received the items and thanked the Association for its gesture.
