Equitorial Guinea Returnee Pleads For Gov't Assistance

An Equitorial Guinea returnee, Patrick Kweku Sakyi, has called on the Foreign Ministry, and officials to assist him and his colleagues to retrieve their seized belongings.

He said, during the crises in Equitorial Guinea, their properties were seized, with the promise of being returned to them after their repatriation. This promise, Mr Sakyi said, has not materialized. Even though he praised the government for the swift attention paid to their predicament, he has urged government to assist them to retrieve their belongings so as to live a normal life.

He disclosed that, GT under the management of Telenor Norway is to provide four hundred thousand telephone installations in 3 years. Therefore, the inability of GT in accessing the loan would have a dire consequence on the people. He therefore called on the feuding factions to withdraw the case and set up a mediating committee for a peaceful settlement.
