Esaso Community cries out over unfinished road and toilet projects

The once-promising "Ghana-First Toilet Project" and road construction initiatives in Adankwame Esaso in the Ashanti Region have been left to gather dust, leaving residents in a state of despair and desperation.

The community, which has been without basic toilet facilities and decent roads for an extended period, is now paying the price with their health.

Thick dust coats the abandoned roads, causing respiratory issues and other health problems for the residents.

“We are suffering here, and the government doesn’t seem to care. We don’t have toilets, and our roads are in a terrible state. The dust is killing us, and we can’t even breathe properly,” Some residents spoke to the media.

The community is urging the government to take immediate action to complete the unfinished projects and address their pressing concerns.

"We're not asking for too much. We just want functional toilets and good roads. Is that too much to ask from our government?" a resident queried.
