The Communications Minister, Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, has responded to criticisms to the effect that the Former Attorney General and Minister of Justice Martin Amidu he described as a ‘damn liar’ has won a Supreme Court suit.

Dr Omane Boamah who responded to an earlier post of Joy Fm’s Manasseh Azure Awuni on Facebook said’ Oh Manasseh even murderers win cases let alone “liars”

In the last couple of days, the Communications Minister and Martin Amidu have been at each other throats with both describing the other with unprintable adjectives.

According to Mr Amidu, the Minister’s utterances and conduct about him confirms the Government’s impunity and abuse of power in acting unconstitutionally to control the content of even private media houses such as Multi TV/Joy FM where the minister made the allegations against him.

“The drunken tantrums cowardly thrown by Omane Boamah shows the shallowness of his education, understanding, and lack of diligence and industry in researching matters he is to defend the Government on in public. Simple common sense would have informed the almighty Minister of Communications who sought to take over Multi TV/Joy FM to insult me that in arguing my case before the Supreme Court on 10th November 2016 I referred the Court to its own unanimous decision given in my favour on 29th July 2014,” he stated.

But Dr Omane Boamah in a sharp rebuttal indicated that Mr Amidu immediately needed the services of a medical doctor for an undisclosed ailment.

Their rift is said to have heightened following Wednesday’s Supreme Court ruling that granted an application by Martin Amidu to cross examine business man Alfred Agbesi Woyome over how 51 MillionGhana Cedis judgment debt he received was disbursed and spent.
