Ex GREDA boss not a member of #OccupyGhana - Ace Ankomah

Pressure group, Occupy Ghana has dismissed allegations that the former President of the Ghana Real Estate Development Association, (GREDA), Dr. Alexander Tweneboah ,is a member of the group.

Dr. Tweneboah was arrested on Monday for sponsoring the activities of SIM box fraud. He has admitted to the offence according to the Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service.

A statement released on the Facebook page of a leading member of the pressure group, Ace Ankomah described the claim as a “rumour orchestrated and perpetrated by persons associated with and sympathetic to the current government”.

The attention of OccupyGhana has been drawn to a rumour orchestrated and perpetrated by persons associated with and sympathetic to the current government that one Dr. Alex Tweneboah, said to be the ex-boss of Ghana Real Estate Development Association and currently at the centre of investigations into sim box fraud, is a member of OccupyGhana. Some have gone as far as to name members of OccupyGhana as having been arrested on the matter.

This is false. Dr. Alex Tweneboah has not been and is not a member of OccupyGhana. None of our members is even remotely connected to the investigations in any capacity, whether private or professional.

OccupyGhana states that it is in full support of all legitimate actions to arrest and prosecute all criminals for various offences.

OccupyGhana is a political, non-partisan movement that accommodates persons of all good faiths, economic and professional backgrounds.
