The Minority Chief Whip in Parliament Mohammed Muntaka Mubarak has observed that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is still in a campaign mood and must be excused by Ghanains who expected a lot from him during his address.
He indicates that some of some of the areas he touched on in his maiden State of the Nation’s Address to Parliament were mere political talk and not issue based as one would have expected.
According to him, the president spoke as though he was still on the campaign platform canvassing for votes a situation he described as worrying and promised that the truth will be unearthed when parliament debates on his address.
“The president is still in the campaign mood. I disagree with some of things he said just to paint a gloomy picture of the Ghanaian economy. How can you say the there is no money yet you are embarking on projects”, he asked.
His colleague Alhaji Alhassan Suhuyini for Tamale North Constituency said the president also failed to proffer solutions to the numerous challenges confronting the country saying the address was just a talk shop.
