Mr Sopiimeh said children 93have the tendency to experiment whatever they see and some end up copying a smoking parent", describing the situation as very worrying.
He said another cause of children smoking was as a result of adults sending children to buy tobacco for them and advised addicts to seek assistance from clinical psychologists.
"Passive smokers are at greater risk as they inhale more of the smoke than the smokers themselves", the health educator said and admonished parents to be responsible to their children.
