Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya-West, Hanna Serwaa Tetteh, has reminded her main challenger in the upcoming election, George Andah, that his expensive billboards will not influence the decisions of the electorate.

According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, politics is about winning the hearts of the electorates and not about erecting huge and expensive billboards while the electorate wallow in poverty.

She opined that she will marshal her resources to help better the lives of electorates in her constituency instead of mounting billboards.

She made the comments on a campaign platform over the weekend while addressing party faithful in the constituency.

She said instead of mounting billboards, her team will adopt a “room to room, house to house, market to market, church to church, Mosque to Mosque and Ghetto to Ghetto” approach to canvass for votes.

The Foreign Affairs Minister urged the electorate to have confidence in the President Mahama-led National Democratic Congress (NDC) government and give the party another term to accomplish the many projects being undertaken in the region.

She entreated them to vote for President Mahama since he has a track record when it comes to massive developments in the Central Region.

Madam Hanna Tetteh said all the town roads, CHIPS compound and other projects built in the constituency in the last four years far exceed the one million dollars per constituency promised by Vice Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) , Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia.
