It’s not such a busy atmosphere on Sunday mornings in this area but today was quieter. A few cars were still operating, but not as many because churches had been closed.

A few shops were opened, but the streets mostly were quiet as people prepared themselves for the lockdown per President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s order.

The order, according to the president, is one of many measures taken by government to help contain the spread of the coronavirus.

Ghanaweb's lockdown diaries captured the atmosphere in the Kwashieman-Sowutuom environment Sunday.
