FAPRA confab begins today

Ghana is playing host to the conference of the Federation of All Africa Public Relations Association (FAPRA) in Accra from today to Wednesday.

The conference, which has attracted more than 2000 participants from Ghana and other countries in the West African sub-region, is being hosted by the Institute of Public Relations(IPR) on the theme: ?Investment, Economic Development and Public Relations?. The conference will be opened by His Excellency the Vice-President of the Republic of Ghana, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, at M-Plaza Hotel in Accra.

A statement issued in Accra and signed by Mr Kwamena Longdon, Chairman of the Publicity Committee of IPR, said Ghana provides the right environment for the conference due largely to its strategic location and political stability.

It said the conference, which has the full support of the government, will offer a new experience and understanding of the public relations implications of investment and economic development in Africa and provide the necessary orientation for dealing with the public relations dimensions in managing investments in Africa.
