Mr James Lartey, Head of Communications of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has been named the third best Public Relations Officer (PRO), for 2017 in the latest performance appraisal research by FAKS Investigative Services.
FAKS International Services, a Ghanaian research and investigative company conducted the survey to assess the performance of Public Relation Officers, Ministers, Deputy Ministers, Regional Ministers, Members of Parliament and Chief Executive Officers of State Owned Enterprises for the year 2017.
The survey usually takes place between the months of October and December every year. FAKS uses three months period to seek opinions from Ghanaians across the country as to which PROs have done exceptionally well and needed to be recognised.
The 2017 project is the sixth Edition since FAKS started assessing the performance of PROs, Ministers, Deputies, Regional Ministers, MPs, and others.
Speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency, Mr Fred Yaw Sarpong, the Chief Executive Officer of FAKS Investigative Services said the survey would encourage other serving PROs to sit up and be recognised.
He said feedback from the survey was taken from social media, face-to-face interviews with respondents, and compilation of forms.
