In a post shared by the journalist on the X app, Bridget Otoo praised Felicity for her bravery, stating that her actions are a significant source of encouragement for the youth.
She described Felicity as a big deal for Ghana, adding that even “in handcuffs, she had a smile on her face.”
She wrote, “This is such an iconic photo of Felicity Nelson… Even in cuffs she had a smile on her face!!! It’s that fearlessness that inspires generations to protest! #FreeTheCitizens #StopGalamseyNow."
Felicity Nelson, a well-known female political analyst, was among the protestors arrested by the police during the recent demonstration organised by Democracy Hub.
They were arrested and remanded for conspiracy, unlawful assembly, causing unlawful damage, offensive conduct conducive to the breach of peace, and defacement of public notice.
