The family of a 23-year-old Samuel Asare a.k.a Paa Yaw from Sefwi Sorano has woke up in a state of extreme trauma over his death at Navorongo in the Upper East Region.

According to information available to metro941.fm, the deceased who happened to be a rice mill seller, travelled with his friend Azumah, 25, as interpreter since he (Azuma) understands the local dialect ‘Kangyaga’ so as to help him transact business because he had wanted to buy more machines to boost his business.

Azumah according to sources allegedly killed Paa Yaw and took all his money worth GHC30,000 and fled away.

Mr Eric Asare, brother of the deceased narrating his ordeal said, a customer came to where he (deceased) normally stays in the early morning to ask for a sack to unload but the landlord noticed his room had been locked but his sandals were kept outside.

His lifeless body was later found in a pool of blood with cutlass and a pestle lying close to him.

The case has since been reported to the Upper East Regional Police Command for investigations and the arrest of the suspect.
