Farouk Aliu Mahama sponsors constituents for this year’s pilgrimage to Mecca

New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate aspirant for Yendi Constituency, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama has sponsored eight of his constituents to perform this year’s pilgrimage in the Holy City of Mecca.

The son of the former Vice President challenged the beneficiaries to pray for bountiful blessings particularly for the Yendi Constituency, Ghana and for the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

He underscored the need for Allah’s blessings of extraordinary energy to continue to give Ghana the exemplary stewardship to inure to the benefit of the citizenry.

Hajj is one of the cardinal pillars in Islam and an annual pilgrimage to the Holy City of Mecca to undertake a spiritual cleansing and seek the face of Allah is deemed necessary.

To this end, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama maintained that his gesture is borne out of his quest to continue the legacy of his late father, Alhaji Aliu Mahama, the first Muslim and longest-serving Vice President in our Ghanaian history.

The former Vice President was noted for the annual ritual of sponsoring dozens of people to Mecca, a virtue Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama has vowed to keep lit.

The would-be pilgrims were full of praised and heartfelt appreciation and appellation for his continued visible demonstration of philanthropic gesture as he wished them Allah’s traveling mercies and Godspeed as they embark on the spiritual exercise.
