The Member of Parliament (MP) for Yapei-Kusawgu and former Deputy Minister for Power, John Abdulai Jinapor believes fake friends should be feared more than one’s enemies.

The hypocritical conduct of such persons he added, is always being what he said is sweetest to your face and most vile behind your back noted for concocting stories, fabricate them in a crafty manner and full of exaggeration just to pull one down especially when they do so under the guise of pseudo names and more importantly under the cover of darkness.

“We fear our enemy but the bigger and real fear is that of a fake friend who is sweetest to your face and most vile behind your back. Especially the friend who can concoct stories, fabricate them in a crafty manner and full of exaggeration just to pull you down especially when they do so under the guise of pseudo names and more importantly under the cover of darkness. But as the saying goes; some people think the truth can be hidden with a little cover-up and decoration. But as time goes by, what is true is revealed, and what is fake fades away. As I have always maintained, lies, hate and fabrications cannot stand the test of time. May the truth, and nothing but the truth prevail”, he posted on his facebook wall.

The Tema home of Mr Jianpor was a week ago raided by officials from Criminal and Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service in search of documents regarding AMERI.

But lawmaker has promised to fully cooperate with the security agencies in unraveling the truth behind the deal.

He said: “I cannot run away from it but I was not directly involved in the AMERI deal. It was my Minister who did and signed everything after parliament had approved so I do not understand why they will come to my house and be asking for documents”, he wondered.

According to him, on assumption of office, the current government constituted the Addison Committee and they offered to present to them the necessary documents but they were told it is not relevant only to now start using gun-wielding cops to be harassing them.
