Feeder Roads construction in Kwaebibirem

Kade, May 17, GNA - The Kwaebibirem District Chief Executive, Mr Yaw Yiadom-Boakye, has said the tremendous contributions being made by the district towards the development of the economy in terms of food and cash crop production continued to be appreciated by the government. As a result, he said, a number of major feeder roads were being maintained and rehabilitated, he told the District Assembly at Kade at its Sessional Meeting on Friday.

He mentioned some of them as the Asuboni-Anweaso road at the cost of 220.6 million cedis, Boadua-Akyem Takyiman costing 133.7 million cedis, Akyem Takyiman - Dokyi road at 587.4 million cedis and the Subi - Subikese road at 186.1 million cedis.

The others are the Okumaning - Aboabo road at 150.7 million cedis, Kade Cocoa Shed road at 479.2 million cedis, Takrowase-Congo road at 713.6 million cedis, the Akyem Takyiman - Dompim road at 136.6 million cedis and the Asuom -Old Ntronang road at 138.1 million cedis. Mr Yiadom-Boakye said the phase one of Kade town roads from Ajara Junction to Okumaning Junction, was being rehabilitated and tarred at the cost of 442.8 million cedis.

Meanwhile, the DCE said in order to facilitate the movement of goods and people, a number of roads have been rehabilitated with part of the assembly's common fund.

They include the Old Ntronang - Joekrom, Asuom - Akawani, Akawani - Akenkase and some Kusi town roads. May 17, 04
