Fidelity Bank Donates To Save Baby With Heart Condition

Accra, October 27th 2010: Fidelity Bank has made a donation of 500 Euros towards the second surgery of 1 year old Nana Fiifi Acquah Kakra. Nana Fiifi Acquah Kakra has had a heart condition for which he has been operated on once already, but still requires another operation to save his life.

His grandfather, Nana Munka-Eku VIII, Omankrado of Abura-Ansafuna Traditional Area in the Central Region, thanked Fidelity Bank for their kind gesture, calling it a show of the ‘human face of banking.’

He said, ‘I did not know that Bankers were also kindhearted people, I always thought banking consisted of cheats who were trying to extort money from people. Fidelity Bank has shown me that there are human beings behind these walls, and they have made a difference to us today.’ He added that they would be coming back to thank the Bank when the surgery is complete.

The donation which was made to the family at the Osu Branch of Fidelity Bank had Fidelity Bank’s Director of Finance, Mr. Kwasi Nimako and the Head of Marketing Esi Mills-Robertson representing the bank.

Making the presentation on behalf of the bank, Mr. Nimako said Fidelity Bank was very pleased with the opportunity to donate towards saving the life of a little boy. According to him, “Fidelity Bank, a wholly Ghanaian-owned Bank is concerned about life of every Ghanaian and is committed to acts of kindness geared at improving lives and bring joy to people. We are thankful for this opportunity to make a difference in the life of young Fiifi Acquah and his family.
