Finatrade Foundation donates to hospitals in Accra

Accra, March 16, GNA - The Finatrade Foundation, the charity wing of the Finatrade Group of Companies, has donated Adult Diapers at a total cost of GHC43, 207.00 to five health institutions in Accra to cater for incontinent patients.

The institutions, Accra Psychiatric Hospital, Pantang Hospital, La General Hospital, 37 Military Hospital and the Maamobi Polyclinic, received a total 87,810 diapers.

Mr John Awuni, the Director of Corporate Affairs of the Finatrade Group of Companies, presented the items and called for collaboration between his outfit and health institutions to complement the efforts of the government.

"Government alone cannot take care of the health needs of all Ghanaians and it is only through collaboration that we can bring health care to the people."

He said the rise in cases of incontinent patients in the country's health facilities informed Finatrade Foundation to donate the diapers. Mr Charles Yaw Adjei, the Administrator of the Pantang Hospital who received the items on behalf of the other beneficiary institutions, commended Finatrade Foundation for the donation and appealed to other corporate bodies to support them to cater for patients at their facilities. He said the donation was timely since Nurses over the years had battled to manage incontinent patients in various health facilities. 16 March 11
