Seven (7) shops including 7 bedrooms at Bompata in Kumasi have been razed down by fire on Boxing Day MyNewGh.com can confirmed.
The inferno destroyed properties running into several thousands of cedis of Ghana cedis according to the account of the victims.
The fire according to some of the affected traders started from one of the seven living rooms at the top floor and spread to the other rooms and the shops on the ground floor reducing everything into ashes.
Items destroyed include; electrical appliances, furniture, foodstuffs and a huge amount of money they kept in saves.
It took the intervention of the traders and people around including the fire service personnel to bring the fire under control.
The cause of the fire outbreak is yet to be known.
