Tasty Joint, a popular restaurant in Sunyani has been burnt by fire Saturday afternoon.
It is believed the fire started from the kitchen when a gas cylinder exploded.
Properties including fridges and other properties running into thousands of Ghana cedis and unspecified amount of money were burnt in the process.
However the swift response of the Brong Ahafo Regional Branch of the Ghana National Fire Service led by the Deputy Regional Commander, Divisional Officer I Gyasi Boateng prevented the fire from spreading to other apartments in the building.
Divisional Officer I Gyasi Boateng in an interview disclosed that they had a distress call about the fire and they responded quickly thus prevented the fire from spreading.
“We responded quickly after receiving the call when we got here the fire was intense but within 30 minutes we had brought it under control as you can see," DO I Gyasi Boateng disclosed.
No casualty was recorded during the incident.
