First Allied Savings and Loans Ltd opens branch in Nkoranza

Nkoranza (B/A), Oct. 16, GNA - The First Allied Savings and Loans Limited has opened a branch in Nkoranza in the Brong-Ahafo Region. The Nkoranza branch, the 11th in the country, will offer convenient access, efficient innovation and responsive financial services to micro and small scale entrepreneurs on a sustainable basis. Mr. J.E. Essandoh, Marketing Manager assured the people of quality services and urged them to transact business with the bank to help enhance their productivity. He said the opening of the Nkoranza branch was based on a social research conducted by the Board of Directors which revealed that the people were development oriented and patronized banking services. Mr Essandoh explained that the First Allied Savings and Loans Limited provided excellent services in the small and micro enterprises sector and called on businesses to patronize its services. Mr Philip Yaw Amakye, Managing Director said the bank was licensed by the Bank of Ghana under the PNDC law 328 (1993) which mandated it to operate as a business company. He said since it started operating in 1996, the bank had opened branches in Accra, Kumasi, Nkawkaw, Obuasi and Mpraeso and that it intended to open another branch at Berekum. Mr Amakye said the bank employed workers from the areas they operated so as to minimize the rate of unemployment among the youth in those areas. The Nkoranza branch of the bank opened its first account for Nana Yaa Dudaa Kani, Queen mother of Nkoranza who cut the tape to commence the operations of the bank. Nana Yaa Dudaa Kani advised the Traditional Council to patronize the activities of the bank to enhance their living conditions. 16 Oct. 08
