Fix deplorable Kumasi roads or incur our wrath - CPP communicator

Government has come under pressure to have the deplorable roads within the Kumasi Metropolis fixed as soon as possible or risk incurring the wrath of residents who say they cannot endure the situation any further.

There has been a movement set by residents to compel government live up to the task of fixing roads of the Garden City in the wake of complaints by residents that the bad roads are having a toll on economic activities.

Ashanti Regional Communication Director of the Convention People’s Party (CPP), Mr. Osei Kofi Aquah who was contributing to the issue on a local radio station sent a stern reminder to the government to fix the deteriorating roads in the region on gave residents to contend with.

“I am reminding the Road and Transport Minister we are still counting on him to fulfill his promise to fix our roads in the Kumasi metropolis”.

There has been public outcry in Kumasi over the design and construction of the four roundabouts on the newly constructed KNUST Junction-Ejisu Road among other roads in various suburbs.

The Roads and Highways Minister ,Hon. Akwasi Amoako Atta visit to the region last month ordered four traffic islands on Kumasi-Ejisu stretch of the main Kumasi-Accra Road be removed for the free flow of traffic.

Speaking on Kumasi-based Abusua FM morning show, Mr. Osei Kofi Acquah admonished the minister to walk his talk.

“We need action not just talking”, the communicator pointed out to the host of Abusua NKommo Kwame Adinkra.
