Ford Kamel's daughter sets up NGO to honour late Dad

Xandria Kamel, a daughter of the late Volta Regional Minister, Henry Ford Kamel , is making strides to launch a Non - Governmental Organisation (NGO) to help the marginalized in society.

The Kamel for Hope Foundation which was founded by Xandria and scheduled to be officially launched shortly has already set the ball rolling to fulfill the dreams of the late Ford Kamel. On Mothers' Day, the NGO donated items worth over GH¢ 2000 to the Ho Leprosarium.

The founder revealed to XFM's David Apinga that the main objective of the foundation is to continue the kind gesture exhibited by her late father. She also expressed high hopes in spreading activities of the organisation to all the other regions in few years to come.

" The late Henry Ford Kamel had a desire to help the less privileged in society from deprived areas especially those who needed medical attention and couldn't afford the means for treatment. Before his demise he had about fifteen children living with him, both in his constituency and in Accra whom he was taking care of. He also gave scholarships to some students from his constituency and other constituencies because he realised the great potential the students had," the burgeoning actress added.

She noted that the foundation was formed to continue where her father stopped and entreated the general public to support her philanthropic cause.
