Salifu Ibrahim, the out-of-contract midfielder from Hearts of Oak, remains reserved amidst speculations of a potential transfer to Asante Kotoko during the current window.

The ex-Eleven Wonders standout, who has been a key player for the Phobians since joining in 2021, finds himself without a contract.

Ibrahim is poised to sign with a new team for the 2024/25 season after talks for a contract renewal with the Phobians fell through.

There are widespread reports that some Asante Kotoko fans are keen on acquiring the services of the esteemed midfielder in this window.

In a conversation with Kessben FM, as followed by Footballghana.com, the dynamic midfielder revealed that he has delegated the negotiation of his future move to his management team.

Responding to inquiries about a potential move to Kotoko, he stated, “My manager is in charge of everything. I’m counting on him. The decision to join a new team does not rely solely on me. I have to reach consensus with my manager and family before taking any step."

Ibrahim's tenure at Hearts of Oak began in 2021, where he significantly contributed to their 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League championship victory.

He has received accolades as both club and league MVP, cementing his status as a leading player and contributing to the club's collection of five trophies, including the Ghana Premier League title.

Although he demonstrated moments of excellence in the last season, Ibrahim's statistics were modest, with just two goals and ten assists across 32 games.
