Former NDC Parliamentary candidate gives to Party

The immediate past Jomoro Constituency NDC aspiring Member of Parliament, Mr Thomas Elleam Nyankey, has donated GHC1,000.00 to the Elubo Zonal Office of the party, towards its activities in the 2016 general elections.

Mr Eric Amihere, an Executive Member of the constituency of the party made this known to the Ghana News Agency at Half-Assini on Monday.

He said Mr Nyankey made the donation when he met party members in the Zone at Elubo, as part of his tour of the constituency to thank them for their support him during the last constituency parliamentary primaries.

Mr Nyankey has already visited five of the 10 zones of the constituency.

They are Dwayne, Half-Assini, Newtown, Bonyere and Takinta Zones.

Mr Nyankey who lost to the incumbent MP, Wing Commander Francis Kabenlah Anaman (retired) in 2012, has declared his intention to contest the 2016 Jomoro constituency parliamentary primary.

Mr Nyankey urged the party members to close their ranks in the interest of the party, since the 2016 election ws just around the corner.

Mr Nyankey said the party could not afford to sacrifice the seat in 2016, and therefore stressed the need for hard work.

Mr Issif Outtarah, Zonal Communication Director, who received the money on behalf of the party, expressed gratitude to the donor for the kind gesture.

Mr Outtarah assured Mr Nyankey of their determination in ensuring that NDC won the election in the area, come 2016.
