Palo Alto, California ~ The African Network (TAN) will host a conference on Technology & Entrepreneurship (TANCon2006), the world's sole event of its kind for entrepreneurs of African descent focused on empowering the entrepreneur and showcasing Africa's potential to the world as a major emerging market beyond India and China. www.tancon.org

The event, scheduled for October 14, 2006 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Palo Alto, California, is expected to draw hundreds of entrepreneurs, technology professionals, venture capitalists and individuals and corporate executives interested in investing in Africa.

The theme for TANCon2006 is "Fostering African Entrepreneurship", to reflect the growing number of African entrepreneurs in business today, and to showcase how the African continent as a whole can uncover opportunities for all businesses.
