Four dismissed students in court

FOUR dismissed students of Apam Secondary School have appeared before the Dawurampong Circuit Court, presided over by Mr P. K. Richardson, on charges of conspiracy to commit crime, unlawful entry and stealing.

They pleaded guilty to all the three counts and were remanded in prison custody to reappear on Thursday, September 21, for sentence.

William Acquah, alias Billy, Samuel Bryn, alias Kuuku, Jacob Achaab and Seth Aboagye, all final year students, were this year withdrawn from the school for repeated misconduct.

Prosecuting, Chief Inspector Richard Doku in charge of the Apam Police Station, said at about 9 p.m. on September 6, this year, the four students, who have rented a room at Apam to prepare for their final year examination, sneaked into the school and stole some books from the staff common room and a telephone receiver from the school's telephone booth.

A report was made to the police, who, upon a tip-off, retrieved the items from the room of the accused persons.
