More than 50 workers of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital are to be prosecuted for financial malfeasance after Joy News’ investigations revealed corruption at the hospital.
Management of the hospital says it will press charges against some 50 workers discovered to be involved in financial malfeasance at the facility.
Joy News investigations have uncovered corruption at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital that reveals some accountants at the hospital take bribes from patients, reduce their bills and divert the money into their pockets.
Board Chairman, Eddie Annan says the 50 workers who were cited in the report have admitted to wrongdoing and management will be receiving a report from Junior and Senior Disciplinary committees for the appropriate action to be taken.
"Gradually we will get all of them out and let the legal process take its course," he assured.
