Private legal practitioner, Nana Yaw Osei has admonished the newly elected National Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Freddie Blay to subject himself to investigations over allegations that he allegedly used state funds to procure buses for the party.

“Let him come out and subject himself to investigations. That will put the matter to rest”, the Kumasi-based lawyer and member of the NPP stated in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com on Abusua FM morning show hosted by Martin Luther King Kwame Adinkra.

The NPP National Chairman and Board Chairman of the Ghana National Petroleum Cooperation (GNPC), has come under severe accusations from some Ghanaians after procuring some buses for the party ahead of Congress.

Many including Nana Yaw Osei believe Mr. Freddie Blay might have used his position to secure the said loan from a bank which will amount to a conflict of interest if those allegations are true.

Speaking on Abusua FM, he agreed with calls for Mr. Freddie Blay be investigated by the state security agencies to determine whether he used his position as GNPC Board chairman to secure the loan or otherwise.

He also revealed his boss, Mr. Paul Afoko paid an amount of hundred Ghana Cedis (Ghc100.00) to each party delegates to secure his victory during Congress at Tamale in the year 2014.

“I gave the amount to delegates from Ashanti Region, Upper West and to TESCON members”, the legal practitioner said.
