Free Tsatsu Campaign donates nebulizers to Nsawam hospital

Nsawam (E/R), Dec. 19, GNA - The Free Tsatsu Campaign (FTC) on Wednesday donated three nebulizers to the Nsawam Government hospital. Mr Kwesi Pratt, member of the FTC who presented the nebulizers to the Medical Officer in-Charge of the Nsawam Prison, said: "The health and welfare of people in prison is as important as the health and welfare of any citizen of Ghana and is part of the justice that the Campaign seeks to promote."

He said philanthropists who heard of Mr Tsikata's near death donated the nebulizers and expressed the hope that the gesture would generate interest on the part of government about the conditions in the country's prisons.

Mr Pratt said in all, 11 nebulizers have been donated through Radio Gold, a private radio station in Accra and would be distributed to Nsawam, Kumasi, Ho and Tamale Prisons respectively. He expressed the Campaign's appreciation to medical personnel at the Nsawam Hospital, 37 Military Hospital and the National Cardiothoracic Centre for the attention they gave to Mr Tsikata when he suffered an asthma attack on the night of Saturday November 15. "If all Ghanaian professionals will work with such professionalism as displayed by the doctors at Nsawam and other Hospitals to save the live of Mr. Tsikata, Ghana will be a better place to live in," Mr. Pratt said.
