A 34-year-old man believed to have been murdered by unknown assailants, has been found in a pool of blood in a nearby bush at Kubekro No.1 in the Kpone-Katamanso District near Tema.
Sintim Taadoon, alias Nana Kwesi, who resides at Kubekro near Ashaiman, was allegedly attacked by some suspected criminals who purportedly made away with the deceased’s mobile phone and an unspecified amount of money intended for purchasing petroleum products for sale.
The lifeless body was conveyed to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra for autopsy. Blood was allegedly still oozing out of the mouth and nose when the body was discovered.
Seth Amaning, brother of the deceased, told DAILY GUIDE that last Sunday morning his elder brother left for work, but had planned to go and buy petrol afterwards. However, he could not go to buy the petrol and went to the base where he sold the product around the main lorry terminal at Ashaiman.
He explained further that the brother left the base in the evening for home after informing some colleagues. According to Amaning, his brother did not reach home. All efforts to reach him the next day through his cell phone, he said, proved futile.
A search was reportedly conducted to find him until word got to them about the discovery of a lifeless body in a nearby bush in the same area.
“I rushed to the scene only to find the lifeless body of my brother in the bush. His phone and the money he was going to use to buy the goods had been taken away.”
The District Crime Officer of the Ashaiman District Police Headquarters, ASP Emmanuel T. Yankah, confirmed the incident to DAILY GUIDE. He said police had commenced investigations into the matter.
He called on the public to volunteer information in order to help get the perpetrators of the act to face the full rigors of the law
