G.N.S. Foundation donates to Korle-Bu Hospital

A Non-governmental organization G.N.S Foundation has donated computers and its accessories worth thousands of Ghana Cedis to the Adult Sickle Cell Clinic of the Korle-Bu Polyclinic in Accra.

Executive Directors of the foundation, Mrs. Sandy Ayivor and Miss Gibleen Amponsah Nimpong stated that, the donation was part of their responsibility towards the less privilege and society as a whole. Miss Nimpong added that, they got the inspiration from their parents as they were philanthropist.

Mrs. Ayivor furthered that, the primary goal of the foundation is to support sickle cell patient in the country.

She added that, the sickle cell clinic is in dire need of assistance, “the clinic lacks lots of amenities and resources and as a foundation, and we deem it necessary to extend a helping hand”. Mrs. Ayivor added.

According to her, G.N.S foundation will be extending its donation to the various Senior High School across the nation in the coming year; the foundation will be promoting sickle cell awareness in the various second cycle schools in the country. She also indicated the foundation’s commitment to support children and adult in their health activities.

She appealed to non-governmental foundation and other stake holders in the country to pay much attention to the health care of the less privilege in society especially sickle cell patient in the country.

Receiving the donation on behalf of the Clinic, Consultant Hematologist and Director of the Ghana Institute of Clinical Genetics, Dr. Yvonne Dei-Adomako on behalf the clinic expressed their profound gratitude to the Foundation for their kind gesture and called on other NGO’s to emulate the act.
