The Military has begun investigations into a shooting incident in Kasoa which allegedly led to the death of one person with two others seriously injured.

Some unidentified military personnel reportedly shot into an irate crowd of residents protesting the demolition of their structures by a private developer.

The incident has heightened tension in the Kasoa Millennium City community.

Some residents of the area have told Starr News the community is becoming unsafe.

Speaking to Starr News, the Public Affairs Director of the Armed forces Colonel Aggrey Quarshie said the matter has come to the attention of the military high command.

“The matter has come to our attention but we are trying to get more details. It is not very clear as to our involvement. They claim some people in military uniform so we want to be sure if they are military men and if they were sent by military officers.

“What we know is that some security service personnel have plots there and people are encroaching on it,” he stated.
