GCAO receive $2000 from Ghanalinx in support of coronavirus relief efforts in Toronto

The Ghanaian Canadian Association of Association (GCAO) has been presented with a cheque of $2000 by Ghanalinx Media Group to augment the efforts of the Association in fighting the coronavirus pandemic in Toronto.

The presentation which took place in Toronto on Sunday, June 7, 2020, was witnessed by some executive members of the GCAO and local Toronto Ghanaian artistes who came together in a virtual concert to raise the money.

Ghanalinx Media Group is a multifaceted media enterprise based in Toronto-Canada. It organized the historic virtual fundraiser with the aim to raise funds for the Ghanaian Canadian Association of Ontario to support their ongoing COVID-19 relief efforts in the community.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, the GCAO has been distributing hand sanitizers, face makes, gloves, food and other supplies to vulnerable people in our community, including seniors, PSWs, nurses, and people who might not have the necessary financial resources to purchase these items during this pandemic.

The concert opened up with a prayer and words of encouragement from Pastor Obie Agyeman; and a brief remarks from the president of the Ghanaian Canadian Association of Ontario, Mr Emmanual Duodu.

The host for the night was Miss Tatiana King (Radio and TV Presenter) and music was provided by DJ King Bizzy. The historic concert featured various Ghanaian Canadian talents including Felix Baffour, Daisy Agyemang, Kwame Vista, Zakisha Brown, GhCALI, Bugatti Bonsu, Salamatu, Kofi Mante, Bellaa Tee, Slimflex.
