Mr Awuri is alleged to have been assaulted while on duty at the school by Gerald Ayawune Asobayire, a retired teacher and others. The Times says a resolution signed by Miss Bawa Kane and Mr Charles Balouh, chairman and secretary of the Headteachers' Association respectively, condemned the rampant harassment and brutalities meted out to teachers in the course of their duties.
