GHANAMY staff in GH¢60,000 exam scam

…Solved & texted electronically answers to students in examination hall

The teaching staff of Ghana National Army Senior High School-GHANAMY, a private academic institution in Kumasi is now in the grips of authorities of the Kumasi Chapter of Ghana West African Examination Council (WAEC) for aiding and abetting in a white color examination crime, an act which stands against the rules of the national examination council.

A cross section of the staff expected to best position themselves as bill boards of good morals according to our reports have proved the opposite as staff have engaged in extorting GH¢100 each from over 600 final year students as an exchange for likely questions of the ongoing S.H.S WASSCE examination.

This ultimate act of examination malpractices steered by the teaching staff was characterized by the staff, solving and texting electronically, answers to students in the examination hall at the time of the writing of English orals and Integrated science on the 9th and 10th of April 2012 respectively.

Despite the interception by an external invigilator bearing the surname Duffour, the same act was said to have been repeated on the 12th of April 2012 at the sitting of General Knowledge in Arts paper G.KA, when some students were spotted entering the examination hall with foreign papers containing solved questions.

Following a report served to WAEC authorities by the external invigilator regarding the act, the examination council has drawn their final conclusion by stripping the school of their right of examination center.

All attempts by the Director of the school Mr. Arvefio Mensah who according to our sources has allegedly been offered GH¢2000 by the teaching staff out the GH¢ 60,000, a total amount of monies collected from the final year students in bribing WAEC authorities to reverse their decision on the matter has proven futile.

Meanwhile, another shocking revelation tapped by our fraternity is another chapter of allegation leveled against the teaching staff plus other authorities of the school for frequently sexually abusing some female students notably those at the final year.

Perpetrators who have allegedly been involved in this heinous act, include the Director of the school Mr. Arvefio Mensah, Mr Geraldo Mensah the Bursar, Mr. Agyare Boateng the senior house master and a list of others. More to come.**
