GNC President speaks on the shooting of a Ghanaian Immigrant in Chicago

December 25 2017 would be remembered as one of the shocking and sad days in the annals of the Ghanaian community in Chicago.

Mr. Albert Adu Aboagye, a Ghanaian immigrant and member of our community , was fatally shot in front of his house. He had earlier closed from the 3pm to 11:30 pm shift at Northwestern Memorial Hospital!.

The late Mr. Albert Adu Aboagye belonged to the family of the SDA Church of Chicago as an elder. He had great personality and commands a lot of respect in the church and the community.

On behalf of the Ghana National Council of Metropolitan Chicago, the Chieftaincy Council of Chicago, Council of Ghanaian Churches, as well as the Muslim Council and Ghanaians in the Chicago and its metropolis , I extend my deepest condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Adu Aboagye.



His death is a great loss not only to his family and friends but also to the Ghanaian community in chicago as a whole !
