As part of activities marking the 20th-anniversary enstoolment of Nana Conduah VI, Paramount Chief of the Edina Traditional Council, officials of the Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) on Tuesday, 8th May 2018 partnered the Traditional Council to clean up the town.
Dubbed “Let’s Keep Elmina Clean”, the exercise started at dawn and saw the team clean the principal streets and the immediate surroundings of the Elmina Castle.
Speaking to journalists after the exercise, Nana Conduah VI thanked officials of GTA and other agencies for their support.
The C.E.O of GTA, Mr. Akwasi Agyeman, confirmed the Authority is in an advanced stage of creating a Master Plan for development around the Elmina Castle in partnership with the Traditional Council and the Ghana Museums and Monuments Board.
