The University of Ghana men’s basketball team once again proved that it is the best team in Ghana and Africa.
The team, which is also called the ‘Guerillas’ extended their unbeaten streak to eight, in the ongoing GUSA Games hosted by the University of Ghana, Legon.
The University of Ghana beat the University of Education-Winneba 61-45 in a game that was described as the ‘clash of the unbeaten’. UEW were also unbeaten heading to the game.
UG had a poor start as they struggled with making shots from the three-point range, resulting in a 25-21 lead for UEW at the end of the first half. UG came back stronger in the second half with a clear game plan. The Guerillas bossed the third quarter and ended with a 42-30 lead.
The University of Ghana men’s basketball team are now on course to win their third straight GUSA title.
