World-renowned poet and Professor of Linguistics, Prof. John Asiedu Sarpong, has predicted that a Chinese national will become the President of Ghana soon.

According to the septuagenarian, this prediction will come to pass in the next 30 years.

“I can see that very soon, a Chinese national will become President of this nation, Ghana. They will succeed because they’ve impregnated our women and given birth here, so they’ll qualify to contest for President. This will happen in the next 30 years,” he said.

Prof. Sarpong made these remarks during a chat with Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah on the Angel Morning Show on Thursday, September 12, 2024. He stated that this prediction reflects how low the country has sunk in recent times.

He cited the destruction of the country’s major water bodies by illegal miners (galamseyers) as evidence of the country’s gradual decay beyond repair.

“Even our football, which we once boasted about, is now in ruins. The respect Ghana used to enjoy in the international community is gradually fading, and we need to act fast,” he added.

At 77, Prof. Sarpong said he felt compelled to warn the nation before he departs this world for eternity.

The Professor, who intends to embark on a one-man demonstration to press his demands, made these comments while contributing to a recent campaign against illegal mining led by the morning show host, Okatakyie Afrifa-Mensah.
