It has emerged that the family of the young girl who was gang raped in Bantama by some young men is not giving the police the needed cooperation to enable them carryout investigations into the matter.

A police source at the Ashanti Regional Police Command told Kasapafmonline.com that the family of the victim has adopted a feet dragging attitude which is not helping investigations, as the police had to even send the family some cash for transport fair through mobile money to enable the victim report to the police today.

It is unclear what the family’s motive is, the source added.

The police have arrested three of the four teenage boys suspected to be the ones caught on tape sexually assaulting the girl who’s a minor.

The video recording which has gone viral on social media which captures five boys gang raping the young girl has left a section of the public horrified and sparked anger.

The five minutes video which shows the disgusting act by the young boys has received round condemnation from the Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Otiko Djaba and lots of Ghanaians on social media, with calls on the security agency to arrest all the suspects whose faces are clearly seen in the viral video.

Even though the victim tried resisting her attackers, the boys overpowered her and satisfied their lust, trying to penetrate her in turns.

The girl finally found a savior in a man whose face was not shown in the video after he burst into the room where the act was taking place and forced the guys to set the girl free and vacate the room.
