The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has assured residents of the Gbawe community that an accident involving a gas tanker is under control.
According to reports, a gas tanker containing Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) was involved in an accident in the mid-hours of Sunday.
The tanker is said to have fallen on its side. However, attempts made by some members of the community to put it back on its wheels resulted in a gas leak.
The GNFS was called in to prevent the situation from causing any casualties.
Additionally, the GNFS has successfully transferred the gas into a different tanker.
