Accra, April 29, GNA - The German Ambassador to Ghana, Mr Peter Linder on Thursday handed over scholarships to three Ghanaian students to pursue Master's and doctorate degrees in Germany.
A statement from the German Embassy in Accra on Friday said the students had passed a rigorous selection process and were awarded scholarships by the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service), a major German organisation responsible for government-sponsored programmes in support of academic co-operation and exchange between Germany and other countries.
The beneficiaries are Mr Samuel Dunyo Aglago, Mr Emmanuel Obuobie and Mr Seth Agbeve Mahu.
Worldwide, every year more than 50,000 students and scientists are sponsored by the DAAD.
The majority of Ghanaian scholarship holders follow international post-graduate courses with specific relevance to developing countries.
